Top 100: year of living dangerously

 

The Aerospace and Defence Top 100 features insight and comprehensive analysis of the Top 100 marketplace.

Key Findings of this year’s report include:

  • No growth in the period and severe declines in profits: Top 100 aerospace manufacturers had flat growth of revenues of 0.6% and profits declined by 17.3% in 2009
  • Top 20 companies account for 79% of sales and 78% operating profits, whereas in 2008 the top 20 enjoyed more than their share of profits
  • Boeing retakes its place at the top of the table as the largest global A&D company
  • Average profitability was at 8.5%, down from 9.1% in 2008. This puts it back at 2005 levels after five years of steady growth
