The end of SAS70 - what next for Performance Assurance?

 

The demise of Statement on Auditing Standards 70 (SAS 70) ushers in a new era of reporting.  Businesses previously using SAS 70 as a reporting mechanism will have to transition to the international standard of ISAE3402 (which was issued in December 2009) or US equivalent SSAE16 (supersedes SAS 70  for reporting periods ending 15 June 2011). 

 

The changes are subtle but many businesses will require assistance when transitioning to the new standard.
