Recovery and resolution plans

In plans proposed by the FSA, banks, building societies and investment firms will need to prepare, submit and maintain recovery and resolution plans by the end of 2012.

This, along with the announcement by the Independent Commission on Banking on 12 September, has brought recovery and resolution to the top of the agenda.

Requirements will vary depending on the type and size of your company, however over 250 companies will be required to prepare a recovery plan, a resolution plan, interbank exposure information and information on derivative and securities finance position.

Our Recovery and Resolution Plans flyer includes:

  • a summary of what is required
  • a timeline of the proposals
  • the potential scope of the regulation
  • guidance on how banks should interact with the regulator
