Goldtrail Travel Limited in Liquidation: Home

On 1 November 2010, Ian Oakley Smith and Rob Hunt of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (“PwC”) were appointed joint liquidators of Goldtrail Travel Limited (“the Company”).

The Company, incorporated on 14 August 1995, traded as Goldtrail Holidays, Goldtrail Travel and Sunmar and provided flights and holiday packages from many UK airports to Turkey and Greece. The Company, based in New Malden, Surrey, operated in accordance with the Air Travel Organiser’s Licensing Scheme (“ATOL”), under ATOL licence number 4684.

The Company ceased to trade on 16 July 2010 and was placed into administration on that date with Jamie Taylor and Mark Fry of Begbies Traynor appointed as joint administrators. However, at a subsequent meeting of creditors held on 24 September 2010, the creditors voted to place the Company into liquidation and to appoint Ian Oakley Smith and Rob Hunt as joint liquidators of the Company.

Quickstep Leisure Limited, a 100% subsidiary of the Company, was placed into administration on 19 July 2010 and remains in administration with Begbies Traynor (Central) LLP. Ian Christopher Oakley Smith and Robert Jonathan Hunt are licensed in the United Kingdom to act as insolvency practitioners by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

The joint liquidators are Data Controllers of personal data as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998. PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP will act as Data Processor on their instructions. Personal data will be kept secure and processed only for matters relating to the liquidation.
