Lehman Brothers Limited (in administration)

This site provides information regarding the progress of the Lehman Brothers Limited (in administration) (“LBL”) administration and will be updated with new information as and when such information becomes available.

AV Lomas, SA Pearson, DY Schwarzmann and MJA Jervis were appointed as Joint Administrators of Lehman Brothers Limited on 15 September 2008 to manage its affairs, business and property as agents without personal liability.  D A Howell was appointed as an additional Joint Administrator by order of the court on 30 November 2009.  All the Joint Administrators are licensed in the United Kingdom to act as insolvency practitioners by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

The Joint Administrators are not in a position to give an estimate of the timing or quantum of any dividend to creditors of LBL. Furthermore, creditors should be aware that LBL is a shareholder of Lehman Brothers International (Europe) (in administration) (“LBIE”), an unlimited company.  LBL is therefore potentially liable for a portion of the shortfall to creditors of the LBIE estate.  This relationship could have a significant impact on funds available to LBL creditors.

LBL Claim Submission Information

LBL currently has no formal legal process for agreeing creditors’ claims. However, the Joint Administrators wish to provide any creditor that wants to submit a claim against LBL with the opportunity to do so.  Therefore, we have provided a LBL Statement of Claim form which can be downloaded here. The Joint Administrators request that all claimants use this form for consistency and future evaluation.  All claims should be submitted with full supporting documentation. Please execute your Statement of Claim and upload as a PDF and email to the following address: LBL@lbia-eu.com.  Claims received by the Joint Administrators will be held on file for future adjudication.

Please note employment related claims should be submitted to LBLHRqueries@lbia-eu.com
