About Leeds

Once a huge textile manufacturing centre, Leeds has recently undergone a major metamorphosis and is now a prosperous, commercial, industrial and manufacturing city, as well as the cultural and sporting centre for much of the region. Leeds has been nicknamed the Knightsbridge of the North, and was recently voted the UK's favourite city.

Today its mixture of style and substance rivals that of any European country. It has some of the best fashion shopping in the north. And with its 180 bars and clubs, the city's nightlife is justly famous, fuelled by its large student population and club pedigree.
