Business Insight week

Are you thinking about your next steps once you leave school or college? Do you want to work with some of the most successful companies and high profile public sector organisations in the world?

Spend an action-packed week in a PwC office of your choice during your summer holiday - meeting our people, experiencing the work we do, developing your employability skills and making new friends. You’ll see how we advise household brands and global companies on everything from planning for the future, to how they can make best use of their technology and meet the challenges of a changing world of business.

We’ll welcome you to PwC with a day’s training to get you started. This will be held in a central location and you’ll get to meet everyone else doing the placement across the country, so you’ll make friends right from the start. You’ll then spend time in the PwC office you’ve chosen, working alongside our people. By spending time with teams working on live projects and buddying up with a PwC School and College leaver or graduate joiner, you’ll get a unique insight into how the world of business works, putting you a step ahead of the competition when you start looking for a job.

Straight away, you'll realise how much you already have to offer – dealing with different people and situations – thanks to a job you’ve had, a team you’ve been part of, or perhaps voluntary work you’ve done for a club or charity. More importantly, you'll be amazed at how swiftly you can build on your knowledge while you’re with us, applying it to the kinds of business scenarios you'd come across daily at PwC.

No matter what background you’re from or what subjects you’re studying, we’d love you to join us. This is your chance to take the first step towards an incredible career in business.

You’ll need to be:

  • currently in Year 12* and studying for AS levels or equivalent,
  • interested in taking your first steps towards a career in business,
  • available for a week during your summer holidays between Year 12 and 13*
  • on track to achieve a minimum of a 120 UCAS tariff (three grade C's or above) from your AS levels/240 UCAS tariff from your A-Levels if you’re not taking AS. This should be from your top three subjects excluding General Studies. You'll also need to have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade C or above including GCSE Maths and English Language or equivalent,
  • committed to your career ambitions and able to explain to us why you want to complete this programme.

Whilst we don't expect you to know it all just yet, the programme is aimed at talented young people from all backgrounds who are looking to jump into the world of business and start their career early. We'll expect you to demonstrate commitment to your career ambitions, and explain to us why you want to complete this programme.

*If you're applying for our Northern Ireland vacancies, you'll need to be in Year 13 and studying for your AS Levels or equivalent

Our paid Business Insight Week placement would take place in your summer holidays between Years 12 and 13*, with the opportunity to secure a School and College leaver role with us once you’ve completed your A-Levels - so whilst age doesn't matter, it’s important that you’re at the correct stage in your formal education. If you’re in Year 13 or have left school we’d encourage you to attend a Career Open Day or apply directly for one of our School and College leaver positions.
