Accounting academy

Our Accounting Academy is a two-day residential course designed to develop your overall business awareness, as well as giving you an opportunity to get a taste of what it's like to work at PwC in our Tax and Assurance teams in our regional offices.

Do well and it could lead to a job offer to join our summer internship or undergraduate work placement programme the following year in one of our regional offices.

Assurance
In our market leading Assurance practice you'll be doing work that really matters.  Your team will get to grips with every aspect of your clients' activities, developing an in depth understanding of their business to identify where our high-quality audits can add insight and value. It's critical work that enhances corporate governance and plays an important role in ensuring the reliability and relevance of business information.

Working with our prestigious client list and you'll develop the business skills, knowledge and relationships you need to do well in a career that's about so much more than numbers.

Tax
Learn everything the UK’s leading tax practice with the leading reputation can teach you. Your knowledge will help high-profile businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients understand complex rules and make informed decisions with significant impacts. You’ll also help governments ensure the efficient operation of tax systems and use your insight to solve long-term problems.

You’ll engage with your chosen business area to gain a greater understanding of the work they do and how we add value to our clients. Spending time with PwC staff and Partners, who will share experiences and career progression with you. You’ll benefit from a tailored development experience, selecting employability electives aligned to your areas of interest. It’s a great way to develop business acumen and can lead to the opportunity to join on an undergraduate work placement or Summer Internship placement.

  • Be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject and 300 UCAS tariff* (or equivalent)
  • Grade C in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Be a first year undergraduate university student
  • Be a first year undergraduate university students on a 4 year degree course with one year spent in industry
  • Be a second year undergraduate university students on a 4 year degree course

*from up to three A Levels (excluding General Studies) or equivalent, taken in the same academic year and achieved at first sitting
