Shadow a female leader

Shadow a female leader

We’re proud to have a high number of females in leadership positions. On the programme, you’ll get the chance to enjoy this unique opportunity to spend time with these successful women who’ll demonstrate the variety of opportunities available.

Open to all, this vacancy is aimed primarily at women seeking an experience in professional services to get an insight into the opportunities available at PwC.

What you'll gain

During this paid placement, you’ll shadow one of our female leaders as part of a one week experience. You’ll choose which office you'd like to come to and which area of the business you're interested in and we'll buddy you up with one of our leaders. Our national opportunities will be running over the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays (restrictions for some areas). You’ll attend meetings, work with clients and our teams to get real exposure to our business and what it’s like working within a leadership role. Impress us during the week and following a final interview, you could well earn a place on one of our Summer Internship or graduate roles for the following year.
This year we also have limited spaces for final year students who wish to shadow during the Christmas break and secure a 2014 Autumn graduate job.

Dates available:

  • Various weeks available in August and September.

Please note all dates are dependent on Leader availability that matches yours.

It doesn't matter what degree you’re studying for – in fact most of our business areas accept students from any subject. But you must have a good academic record and be able to show how you've used your initiative and team-working skills before and at university.

Application process:

In order to make sure that we give talented students the opportunity to spend valuable time with our leaders, you'll go through a full recruitment process of online application, academic sift, online tests and an assessment centre equal to that of our graduate schemes. Upon completion of your week you'll undertake a Final Interview that will determine if you're offered a position to return to us.

What you'll need

  • You'll either need to be in your first year of study, in your second year of a 4 year degree, in your penultimate year or you're a finalist graduating in 2014
  • You’ll need to be an undergraduate with at least a 300 UCAS tariff or equivalent for Assurance, Deals, Consulting and Tax or 340 UCAS tariff for Consulting
  • Be on course for a 2:1 or above

It doesn't matter what degree you’re studying for – in fact most of our business areas accept students from any degree subject. But you must have a good academic record and be able to show how you've used your initiative and team-working skills before and at university.
