Ed Stacey is an experienced employment law partner at PwC in the UK. Ed was the partner responsible for building the employment law business at PwC, leading it from 2012 to 2019 prior to taking on a role on PwC’s Tax, Legal and People Leadership Team as People Partner.

Ed has also held a range of leadership roles within the UK and Global Legal business including Head of UK Legal until 2021.

Ed specialises in advisory and contentious employment law on a national
and multi-jurisdictional basis but with a current emphasis on inclusion and ESG related legal work.

Ed is a regular speaker at conferences, client seminars and training events. He provides frequent press commentary including Financial Times, Times, Daily Mail, City AM and a range of trade publications as well as live interviews with CNN and Radio 5.

  • Ed has supported numerous UK and international clients to comply with UK gender pay regulations, advising on ethnic minority and disability pay gaps together with leading a range of advisory projects on equal pay.
  • Leading provision of employment law advisory support to some of UK’s largest insolvencies including handling of mass litigation claims.
  • Ed has successfully handled numerous claims in Employment Tribunal, EAT, High Court and Court of Appeal including the successful defence of multi-million pound discrimination claims and obtaining injunctive relief.
