"Our PwC in the community programme focuses on education, employability and the environment. And it gives our staff the opportunity to share their skills in the community in which we operate, whilst also gaining skills which they bring back into the business.

We are here at the Globe theatre, one of our key community partners and long term sustainable partnership which has developed over many years - almost twenty years and in that we have developed the programme, not just through writing a cheque but by sharing our skills and we have replicated this around the UK. We focus on education, employability and the environment and over 4000 staff share their skills during working hours on many programmes be it mentoring, giving business advice, pro-bono advice or volunteering as a team.

We have support right from the top, from the management board, the Chairman - Ian Powell and the managing partners and from individual business unit leaders. We have over 4000 volunteers across the UK giving over forty thousand working hours to the community - that can be though education programmes, employability programmes or the environment. Giving staff the opportunity to share their skills which they then bring back into the workplace.

I'm incredibly proud to be heading up the PwC in the community programme, we are extremely lucky at PwC to have a talented, quality workforce that want to share their skills with their local communities across the UK and we are very fortunate to have community partners such as the Globe who are inspiring and inspire our staff that who then bring back that inspiration into the work force."
