Being transparent about sustainability performance isn’t common practice among privately owned companies. But it’s an important part of who we are and means we can meet the growing demands of our stakeholders for specific sustainability information. It’s also consistent with our principle to disclose more than we need to by law, and report using the same best practice standards that we recommend to our clients.
We can also share with our clients and others what we’re learning about the practical challenges of improving our sustainability performance. You can find out more in our pioneering change section.
We’re proud of our achievements so far, which include eliminating the waste we send to landfill, and reducing our energy intensity by a third. Our global Sustainability and Climate Change practice has also been named consultancy of the year for the second time in succession at the 2012 BusinessGreen Leaders Awards. And as well as renewing our Business in the Community ‘CommunityMark’ status, we’ve retained our ‘Platinum Plus’ status in their annual corporate responsibility index – the leading index of its kind in the UK - recognising our commitment to sustainability as a strategic issue.
But we know we need to continue to challenge ourselves, so we’ve set new environmental targets this year as our previous ones expired.
You can find out more about our commitments and sustainability credentials, and explore our results through our interactive charts.
