Public agenda

In “There’s More…” we outline the priority areas to which we commit our efforts and give some examples of our work in each area:

• Competitiveness of the UK economy
• Efficient public services
• Value of the Audit
• Corporate Transparency
• Helping to address sustainable development challenges
• Globalisation and the environment
• Ensuring an efficient tax system

In terms of reporting progress, this work tends not to generate numeric performance or trend data which makes for simple reporting. This is partly due to the nature of the work – educating, raising awareness and influencing, and partly due to the timeframes which these issues have – our efforts typically being invested over 10 years or more.

However, measuring the impact of our efforts is important to us and we are working to develop improved reporting in this area.
