We are proud to be one of the leading professional services firm in the
Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index. We achieved
platinum status and received a commendation for outstanding performance in four
areas: corporate strategy, integration, marketplace management and workplace
management.
Aside from our client-facing role, PwC also contributes to the charitable
sector through:
- Giving to charities, in the form of sponsorship, secondments and gifts, as
a responsible and leading member of our business community;
- Supporting partners and staff who act as trustees and officers in their
personal capacity.
Specific examples include:
- Providing staff to act as ‘mentors’ to pupils at local schools, for example
ABLAZE at Ashton Gate, Bristol (volunteer reading help);
- Supporting staff secondments for example to Africa;
- 'Do your bit and turn me off' stickers hitting all our offices around the
UK;
- We again supported the Mayor's Thames Festival which took place on the
banks of the River Thames between Westminster Bridge and Tower Bridge and on
the adjacent riverside walkways and public open spaces on Saturday 15 and
Sunday 16 September;
- The Leeds, Sheffield and Hull offices recently won The Prince’s Trust 30th
Anniversary ‘Fundraiser for Futures’ Challenge; and
- 100% recycled paper has been introduced in all PwC UK offices.
