Strategic health authorities |
|
PricewaterhouseCoopers works with the strategic health authorities (SHAs) responsible for managing National Health Service bodies, as well as improving services and financial performance across the local health economies. These SHAs play a crucial role in brokering solutions to local problems, holding local health services to account and encouraging greater autonomy for NHS trusts and primary care trusts.
Our recent work demonstrates our understanding of the issues both at SHA level, and within local health economies. Among other areas, we have assisted with: process improvement; service reviews across the health economy and the creation of on-demand management models. We are involved with procurement on an ongoing basis, and can advise on Private Finance Initiatives (PFI), Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and Local Improvement Finance Trusts (LIFT).
