Local government plays a vital role in the social and economic well-being of the UK. The challenges and opportunities it faces are complex, demanding and unique.

Many of PricewaterhouseCoopers' local government advisers have worked within the sector and have a strong commitment to it. We share its values and understand what local government means in practice. We have specialists in most of the key local authority services and provide support to councils in a range of areas specific to local authorities.

We work closely with the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and other central Government departments that influence local government. We also work extensively with local government's partners in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
