PricewaterhouseCoopers UK Retail & consumer group holds regular forums
for executives across the UK, many of which are run in conjunction with the
appropriate industry body, with whom we have close working relationships.
PricewaterhouseCoopers is an associate member of the British Retail
Consortium (BRC). Following our previous involvement in 2004/5, we are sponsors
of the BRC’s corporate social responsibility policy lunches. We have also
provided guidance to BRC members on issues arising out of the Budget and the
Operational Financial Review.
At the 2004 and 2005 IGD global retailing event, PricewaterhouseCoopers has
hosted discussion tables. In 2005, we presented to IGD members the results of
research on price deflation - Who Really Profits in
a World of Falling Prices?
PwC was a sponsor of the Retail Week Conference 2006 themed - Differentiate to Win, providing a keynote speaker and panel chairman. We also supported the Retail Week conference in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
We host regular industry forums in conjunction with Wragge and Co. for senior executives in the retail and food manufacturing sectors.
