|
The financial services sector, in particular, faces significant reputational damage should it have inadequate controls to prevent money laundering.
In response to our customers’ requests to gain quick and easy access to anti-money laundering and know your customer requirements and details of the myriad of regulatory and other cultural issues which need to be addressed when doing business across territories, we have developed an Anti-Money Laundering: Know Your Customer quick reference guide.
To view the guide please go to our global page.
Or, view the video.
The guide is a quick and easy way of comparing anti-money laundering issues for nearly 50 countries and includes additional links to useful information such as Financial Action Task Force (FATF) reports and country evaluations.
It also includes, amongst other topics, information about whether local regulators support the use of the risk based approach to anti-money laundering; how to deal with Politically Exposed Persons; and whether doing business with shell banks is prohibited.
Also included in the quick reference guide are details of the appropriate PricewaterhouseCoopers anti-money laundering experts in these countries, whose on-the-ground expertise is invaluable. They would be happy to discuss any anti-money laundering issues you might have.
