IPO Watch Europe – Q3 2006 |
|
September 2006
The latest quarterly IPO Watch Europe survey from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP shows that London has returned to the top of the offering value chart among Europe's stock exchanges in the third quarter (July to September 2006). London also led the field in terms of the volume of IPOs.
The survey, which tracks the volume and value of IPOs on Europe's main stock exchanges, indicates that London raised €9,509 million this quarter compared with €2,968m in the same period last year and €3,655m in the second quarter of 2006. This was mainly due to the IPOs of Rosneft and Standard Life on London's Main Market, which together accounted for 89% of total London IPOs and 71% of total European IPOs by offering value. Rosneft, the Russian oil and gas conglomerate, is also the largest IPO this year.
