Paying Taxes – The global picture is a new joint publication from PricewaterhouseCoopers and the World Bank Group which looks at the relative ease of paying taxes in 175 countries worldwide.
The report features findings from the World Bank Doing Business 2007 survey which uses some of the principles of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Total Tax Contribution framework to assess the total tax rate for each country.
The results focus on the need for governments to ensure the effectiveness of the tax systems they implement, and for companies to appreciate the benefits of making tax reporting more transparent.
