During the Budget in March 2004, the Chancellor confirmed that the proposed
consultation document "Simplifying the taxation of pensions" will be
implemented on 6 April 2006, i.e. pensions "A-day".
In response to this, PwC have produced a pension reforms roadmap designed as a
guide for senior executives to help identify the issues and why they should
consider retirement planning in light of these new government proposals.
A roadmap for corporates has also been published - Pension reforms - a roadmap for HR and pensions departments. It is designed as a guide for hard-pressed HR and pensions departments dealing with this far-reaching legislation.
