Government Forum 2005 Briefing: Moving Forward, Delivering Change

The first PwC Government Forum was held in May 2005, and had the theme ‘Moving Forward, Delivering Change’. Over 120 senior clients across all areas of government and the public sector joined PwC to listen to and participate in discussions with some of the most influential thinkers and leaders in the public sector.

This briefing includes summaries of the diverse topics covered on the day, including:

Tessa Jowell MP, Culture Secretary, on creating a 'conversational democracy' based around a new form of engagement between government, public services and those at the receiving end of those services.

David Willetts MP (Cons) and Vincent Cable MP (Lib Dem), highlighting the areas where cross-party consensus exists about the public sector, as well as areas where real differences of opinion persist.
