The UK Ministry of Justice published the draft Bribery Bill on 25 March
2009. This seeks to enhance the UK’s anti-bribery legislation, replacing
previous offences with a general bribery offence and a specific offence
relating to the bribery of foreign public officials (both of which are
applicable to individuals and UK-registered companies). It also introduces a
specific corporate offence of failing to prevent bribery.
