IPO Watch Europe - Q2 2006 |
|
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP latest quarterly IPO Watch Europe survey shows that Euronext has risen to the top of the IPO value chart with a significant upturn in the amount of money it raised. This quarter it raised €4,157m - over twice the amount raised in the same quarter last year and a considerable increase on the €310m it raised in quarter one of 2006. This upturn in offering value was driven primarily by the fact that Euronext hosted two of the five largest IPOs of this quarter, namely SNS Reaal (a financial services company) and ADP (a French airport operator) which raised €1,190m and €1,117m respectively.
London continues to lead Europe in volume terms with 74 IPOs in quarter two, but it has fallen to second place in value terms raising €3,655m this quarter. This is a significant drop from the €5,971m it raised in quarter one of 2006 and the €5,199m it raised in the same quarter last year.
