Understanding the reasons why individuals choose (or refuse) to pursue international assignments is a critical factor in designing and implementing an effective international assignments strategy and maximising the efficiency of these assignments.
A research report from International mobility insight, a collaboration between Cranfield School of Management and PwC Human Resource Services, has confirmed that there are large disparities in expectations between the corporations who send people abroad and the assignees who go. The research suggests that these differing expectations need to be considered and aligned as far as possible.
