In this, our fifth bulletin, we consider the issue of governance, processes and
controls around the June Return. The relevant draft reporting requirements for
2007, which were published recently by OFWAT, demonstrate the importance of
this issue. With the regulatory year-end less than two months away and the June
Return due for submission to OFWAT by 15 June 2007, there is limited time to
take action.
This is more than a routine regulatory issue; the consequences of failing to act quickly and robustly could be significant and we commend the subject for debate in the Boardroom.
