Confidence among UK financial services firms is up for the sixth quarter in a row. Overall volumes of business are growing too, and there is stronger demand from retail and commercial customers - an encouraging sign for the economy as a whole. Profitability is also on the rise. But companies responding to the 84th CBI/PwC Financial Services Survey are concerned about the outlook for their business and the costs of regulation.
