Jim leads our UK Insurance Regulatory Team addressing the various aspects of prudential FSA regulation. This includes elements such as governance, supervision, business transfers, structuring and in particular, capital and solvency considerations. Jim advises many clients on their implementation projects for Solvency II and has led a number of gap analyses in the last two years. Jim is a member of the ICAEW and is Chairman of its working party for Solvency II. Jim has written and spoken widely on Solvency II.

John is a senior advisory partner who leads our UK Risk & Capital Management practice. He has over 30 years experience in Financial Services, primarily helping clients on risk management issues and implementing large transformation programmes in risk, capital, regulatory, operational and financial control functions. Over the last two years he has used this experience to become one of our leading Solvency II Advisory Partners. Recently, John finished a 9 month secondment to one of the world’s largest Insurance companies as Group Chief Risk Officer.

Charles is a leader of PwC’s Solvency II multi-disciplinary team and also leads our UK life actuarial practice. He is an expert on risk measurement and modelling requirements and the strategic issues arising from Solvency II. He has been with the firm for fifteen years in London and in Asia. He has a broad range of experience particularly in the Life & Pensions markets and has held Reviewing Actuary roles for a number of major UK insurance groups. Charles advises firms on their Solvency II programmes, including project structure and leadership, technical design and the way in which internal models can be used to support effective risk management and decision making.

George is a partner in our Risk and Capital practice, with prime responsibility for the insurance industry. George has worked with financial institutions for the past 20 years in roles including acting Group Risk Director of a global insurance company, in which he was responsible for the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide risk management framework, across all businesses globally. In this role, George was responsible for the alignment of planned ERM initiatives with potential areas of further development to address Solvency II compliance. George has worked with many other insurance companies and is an expert in enhancing existing risk management practices within a consistent and holistic framework that is Solvency II compliant.
