How should a company and its advisors respond to a raid and the ensuing investigation from a regulator?

Recent developments have demonstrated that regulators are pursuing convictions vigorously. The SFO has secured convictions for bribery in the UK, the European Commission has imposed eye-watering fines for anti-competitive behaviour, and we have also seen the first individuals imprisoned for anti competitive behaviour in the UK. In response, PwC is encouraging clients to attend an Investigate! workshop to help organisations assess how prepared they are to address potential risks.

The Investigate! workshop includes a short film drama which illustrates the reach of regulatory powers, considers the way in which these powers can be executed, the steps organisations should take if they find themselves in such a situation, and the ways in which they can mitigate the impact of regulatory enforcement on their business and reputation.

Investigate! also includes an electronic investigation simulation, which gives you the opportunity to experience an investigation into misconduct first hand. This part of the workshop is highly interactive, giving participants the opportunity to gain a detailed insight into the way an investigation is run and to consider the readiness of their own organisation in reacting to similar crises.
