The government has a massive challenge in deciding what cuts to make and how they should be made, which makes this Spending Review one of the hardest and most significant since the Second World War.
In our response to the Spending Review consultation, we set out the areas where government needs to act if it is to achieve a good result for the country. This response is based on our experience working with government and public sector organisations but also on research (including a Citizens’ Jury and opinion polling) which we commissioned on citizen’s views about spending cuts.
