In September 2011 we asked BritainThinks to reconvene our Citizens’ Jury - a group of 16 people who had taken part in the two previous Juries - to discuss the Coalition Government’s first year in dealing with the deficit, and to look at issues surrounding the Open Public Services White Paper.
We wanted to understand how well they felt their criteria for the entire package of spending cuts had been met by Government over the past year, and whether in hindsight their criteria were still relevant. In addition, the jurors considered the principles outlined in the Coalition's Open Public Services White Paper, and specifically the proposals around neighbourhood councils.
