The annual British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) Performance Measurement Survey, produced by the BVCA in association with PwC and Capital Dynamics, examines the performance of UK private equity and venture capital funds and how they compare against other asset classes.It contains information on 586 UK-managed funds, including independent funds, venture capital investments and MBOs. The survey finds that the combined ten-year internal rate of return (IRR) stood at 13.2% for 2015, against 6.2% for total pension fund assets and 5.6% for the FTSE All-Share over the same period.
