PwC is the largest professional services firm in the UK. We have been serving clients in Newcastle since 1912 and are proud of our local links with the wider community, supporting a number of different associations and organisations in the region.

In Newcastle, we have over 300 highly-qualified staff dedicated to providing clients with exceptional levels of service and advice in assurance, regulatory reporting, tax and advisory services to a variety of clients including public and private companies, central and local governments, banks and private houses, private individuals and not-for-profit organisations.

Our assurance and advisory teams are based in the region for the region – and we believe that they offer a better service as a result. Our Newcastle office also serves clients from further afield, which gives us a broader business perspective, and access to a pool of expertise and experience which enables us to provide you with the breadth and depth of service you expect. Education and employability is also a key area of focus for PwC and each year we recruit graduates to study for the ICAEW qualifications. The ‘Flying Start’ BA Honours degree programme is a joint collaboration with Newcastle University and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. This is a uniquely-structured degree, which provides students with an invaluable combination of paid work experience, academic study and an accelerated route to qualifying as a chartered accountant. Our ongoing support to graduates has recently been acknowledged when the firm was awarded The Graduate Employer of the year for the fourth consecutive year. The Newcastle office is also delighted to announce its success at the North East Accountancy Awards 2008 in which we were awarded the Employer of the Year accolade along with winning a joint award with Newcastle City Council for Public Sector Team of the Year.
