PricewaterhouseCoopers receives national community award

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP was one of only 21 UK-based businesses to receive the new CommunityMark award at a ceremony at 10 Downing Street.

Developed by Business in the Community (BITC), CommunityMark is a new national standard that recognises companies that are deemed the best investors in their communities.

At the Northern Ireland BITC awards in June 2008, Belfast head teachers Joe McGuinness from St Matthews Primary and Mary White of Knocknagoney Primary shared the coveted Marks & Spencer, Seiff Award for Community Endeavour for their part in PwC’s Adopt-a-School programme.
