Northern Ireland Economic Outlook: March 2010

The Northern Ireland economy will grow by 0.9% in 2010, marginally ahead of Scotland and Wales, but well below the anticipated performance of London, the South East and the Midlands. We estimate modest UK average GDP growth of 1% in 2010, picking up to around 2.5% in 2011.

PwC's 2009 Northern Ireland Salary Survey makes essential reading for employers everywhere. With management increases around 0.3 per cent and the median increase for hourly paid employees at nil, last year saw employers fighting for survival and their workforces sharing the pain.
