Alex Bertolotti is a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers London, in the Insurance and Investment Management practice. Alex graduated from Queen's College, Cambridge, in 1993 with a degree in Economics and Management studies. Alex's experience has developed through a wide range of transactions, involvement in various Regulatory driven projects in locations such as the UK, Saudi Arabia and Brunei together with his attest work for clients from the pensions, investment management and insurance sector. He was the lead auditor for a number of the largest pension funds in the UK, and advised on a number of transactions in the financial services sector. Alex is a well-known contributor to industry through leadership in the European market through representation on industry bodies, speaking at conferences and submitting articles to trade press.

For the past five years until Summer 2008, Alex has been based in Moscow, Russia as the leader of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Insurance and Investment Management Practice practice in Russia and CIS. He has specifically advised on the development of strategic plans for Russian financial institutions in the long term savings market, market entry analysis for potential foreign entrants together with the provision of other consulting and audit services to this sector. Alex was Chairman of the Association of European Businesses Insurance and Pensions Committee in Russia and the PwC Russia Insurance practice was voted by the industry for the last three consecutive years as Best Auditor and Consultant to the Russian insurance market.

For the last two years, Alex also held the position of Assurance Clients and Markets leader for the PwC CEE region, covering 29 countries. Alex is currently an audit partner for a number of clients in the UK, including F&C, AXA/Framlington and Houston Casualty. He also leads the Risk Assurance Services group in the insurance and investment management sector, which includes services such as internal audit, third party assurance reports and technology assurance.
