Chris is based in our London office where he is the leader of PwC's Financial Services practice in the EMEA region. He was the UK Financial Services Leader from 2088 – 2011. Previously, Chris led the London Banking and Capital Markets Audit Group for 5 years. He has been a PwC partner for 22 years.
Chris is currently the engagement signing partner for the global audit of ICAP plc. He is also the EMEA lead partner for the Bank of America/Merrill Lynch group audit.
Chris has specialised in the audits of and provides advice to global treasury operations of major multinationals. He has been the engagement partner on the audits of global treasury operations for Nokia, Merck, National Grid, Roche, Sony and Reuters where he has extensive experience of hedging under IFRS.
His interest in corporate treasury led to an active involvement in the Association of Corporate Treasurers, including a year as its president. He also chairs the ACTs Advisory Committee. He also set up a £1.5bn fund within PwC, and managed all key aspects of its operations for several years.
Chris sits on the Advisory Committee of the Financial Services Faculty of the Institute Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and he is a member of the PwC global financial service leadership team.
