Since 1997 Mark has specialised in assisting clients in the banking and capital markets sector to prevent and detect and investigate financial crime.
Mark has particular responsibility for both anti-money laundering compliance and technology solutions. He has advised several major financial services institutions on the implementation of transaction monitoring systems. Mark also has extensive experience in advising on AML regulatory programmes, advising banking supervisors on interpretation of money laundering legislation and undertaking AML compliance visits across Europe and the Middle East.
Mark was seconded to the Bank of England and Financial Services Authority to advise regulatory supervisory teams on forensic and money laundering issues. Mark has also undertaken several insider dealing investigations on behalf of the UK authorities. He also has experience of fraud prevention and detection at financial services institutions and has undertaken major fraud investigations for the UK Serious Fraud Office.
