The future of UK energy prices

Energy price hikes are a real issue for consumers, for the Government, for the industry and for the regulator. So the questions are: what's causing these prices to rise? Will they continue in the future? What needs to done and who needs to do it?

The Government's new Green Deal aims to counteract these rises and help make properties in the UK more energy efficient and it could have a big impact on the amount of electricity and gas we use in the UK. But for people to use the scheme and make their homes more energy efficient we need to change their behaviour, educate them and provide the right financial incentives to make them use less energy.

In this video Power & Utilities leader Steve Jennings discusses the reasons for the UK's recent energy price increases, the importance of energy efficiency and the Government's Green Deal with industry experts Ronan O'Regan and Paul Davies
