In the run up to Christmas, there is little sign of Yuletide cheer with economic indicators looking increasingly negative. The result is that consumers are shopping round for bargains, using the internet to find good deals, looking for coupons, and trading down to cheaper stores and cheaper ranges within stores.
As for the UK, it’ll be a while yet before we know for sure, and in the meantime we’re probably facing a gruelling Christmas. Let’s hope there will be more cause for optimism in the new year.
