PwC Scotland in the community - Force for Good
Force for Good is the name given to our Scottish community affairs programme
and sits alongside our PwC community affairs UK strategy.
The Force for Good programme has two clear objectives:
- Putting something back into our community;
- Developing our people.
Through an active year-round calendar of events, including team volunteering
days, fundraising activity, blood giving days, environmental action and
mentoring programmes, our staff can connect with and make a difference to our
local communities. Our main areas of focus are education for children and young
people, particularly in disadvantaged areas and the environment. Last year, 255
members of staff across our three Scottish offices volunteered their time,
during the working day, to get involved in their community, working a total of
3,096 hours. We have worked alongside a number of organisations over the last
year, including the National Trust for Scotland, Barnardo’s, Save the Children,
Capability Scotland, Scottish Wildlife Trust, Smithfield Primary School
(Aberdeen), Marine Conservation Society, East Lothian Rangers Service, Children
1st and Cycling Scotland.
