Double win at Scottish Accountancy Awards

The Scottish practice is celebrating after wins for the tax team and an outstanding achievement award for Frank Blin at the inaugural Scottish Accountancy Awards.

At a glittering ceremony in Glasgow on Thursday 22 May, the Scottish Tax Team was crowned Tax Adviser of the Year beating KPMG and Deloitte. Special congratulations go to Rhona Irving, Head of Tax, Scotland and her team for a tremendous performance over the past year. Rhona commented "I'm really proud of our team and this is a great accolade for us."

Frank Blin, Head of UK Regions, picked up the Outstanding Achievement Award presented by Susan Rice, Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Scotland.

The judges of the competition unanimously agreed that Frank deserved recognition and was a ‘real figurehead for the industry in Scotland’, and their sentiments were backed by a number of leading business figures including Sir Tom Hunter.

Ours was the only firm to pick up two awards.

The Scottish practice was also runner up for Best International Large Firm, which is a credit to the fantastic contribution that all partners and staff make to the Organisation.

• Our TS team for the Team of the Year;
• Drew Stevenson for the Accountant of the Year
