PwC in the community
As a leading professional services firm and a major UK employer, we regard
our participation and support of the wider communities of which we are all part
as an affirmation of our core values as a business and those of our employees.
We aim to be a key partner in our local communities and we seek actively to
build sustainable relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
In Sheffield we have developed a proactive community affairs programme
focused on the local communities. We are members of Sheffield Chamber of
Commerce & Industry, Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, Business in the
Community, South Yorkshire Cares, and Pro South Yorkshire, and through
sponsorship support organisations such as Music in the Round, Great Sheffield
Art Show and Sheffield Football Club.
As well as working in partnership with community organisations ourselves, we
also encourage connectivity of thought and action between them. This close
involvement enables us to demonstrate our awareness of some of society's most
challenging issues and our willingness to share in the process of seeking
solutions. Our commitment is demonstrated through our continued involvement in
the Sheffield Common Purpose programme.
Philip Gregory, Sheffield managing partner, commented “As a responsible

win-win investment.”
