Tax First April: News, events and change in tax

Our Tax First newsletter provides tax professionals with a round-up of the past month's major financial news and a calendar of useful diary dates.

Our April edition begins with a full overview of the main points from last month’s Budget. We outline all the main measures and add our own insight on the possible impact they may have on your business.

We also look in greater detail at the related corporate tax reform as well as highlighting the changes to the bank levy that were announced by the Chancellor. If you’d like to find out further detail on the Budget, you can read more at the PwC Budget website.

The Budget also brought an announcement around a shift in the low value consignments relief. We outline the possible effects this could have and also, following another Budget announcement, highlight how the reforms to air passenger duty have been put to one side.

To round things off, we outline the topics for the April/June series of our regular ICTA tax events. This time around the series includes further detail on corporate tax reform, the new US Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and foreign exchange developments.
