Technical skills and being able to analyse complex pieces of data is crucial in my role. Working predominately with financial clients, it’s important to have an interest in finance or be willing to learn about this sector.
Since joining, a huge part of my role has been working on large anti-money laundering projects for high risk clients such as investment banks. It’s great as I’ve learnt so much about the financial industry and it fits in quite well with my accounting and finance degree.
I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2014 and I’ve had so many great experiences since joining here. A highlight for me has been the opportunity to work on global projects right from the comfort of my own desk. Using the latest collaborative technology, over the past few months I’ve worked with PwC team members in New York, Bangalore and Poland. It’s provided me with lots of global experience and I love working with people from different cultures.
The work-life balance is another stand out factor for me. After work or during down time my colleagues and I like to explore Belfast and enjoy all of the attractions it has to offer.
