I joined PwC Augment in December 2014 and became part of a team of roughly 50 members. The journey from then to the present day has been amazing, with PwC Augment growing at an exponential rate to almost 420 members.

I graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in July 2013 with a degree in Economics, following which I completed a project management internship at the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. I was keen to pursue a project management career within the financial sector and the innovative opportunity provided by PwC Augment aligned perfectly with my prior experience and career ambitions.

I have benefitted from a wide variety of experiences since joining Augment, from leading a team of complaint handlers on client site in Glasgow, to independently managing a workstream as part of a loan portfolio sale for a well-known retail bank. PwC Augment gives you the platform to encounter these kinds of opportunities. While working for globally recognisable companies in demanding roles is undeniably a challenge, it is a hugely rewarding one.

Working in fast-paced environments with knowledgeable and supportive colleagues has enabled me to develop my professional skillset and technical capabilities. In addition to exciting experiences gained on-the-job, PwC is an organisation which invests in its people and this, more than anything else, makes it an inspiring place to work. The Augment Academy offers a wide range of courses and professional qualifications. From a becoming an expert in regulation and compliance to becoming proficient in research and technology implementations, PwC Augment encourages you to take your career in the direction that you are passionate about, while providing you with the tools and resources to achieve it.

I would really encourage people from all backgrounds to consider a career with PwC Augment. Since day one I have worked with a variety of people with diverse backgrounds and ranges of experience. The opportunities and support that I have received during my time with PwC have helped me shape and progress my career. As a result I am acting as Project Manager on my current client engagement and I have recently been promoted to an Assistant Manager within a new department called PwC Operate.

If you are driven and ambitious there are endless opportunities available to you with a career at PwC. If you are ready to embrace the opportunity to work with global companies, to challenge yourself to learn new skills and to work in an encouraging and supportive environment, I would encourage you to try PwC.
