Telephone selection process

When you apply to us, you’ll need to take a short telephone assessment.

We use this to assess your motivation for applying to the role and PwC, as well as your verbal communication.

The assessment will take around 20 minutes, and we’ll aim to do it at a time that’s convenient for you.

This is important to the work we do for our business, and our clients. These skills and behaviours make up our global leadership framework, ‘The PwC Professional’.

The precise details of each stage will vary according to where you want to work, but the focus throughout will be on the qualities you need to do well. Having the right academic results is only part of it. Here's how it works:

What do I need to do to prepare?

You won’t need to do much to prepare, but here are a few pointers:

  • be clear about why you are applying for the role
  • consider how your career experience makes you right for the role
  • explain why you want to work at PwC

When you’re sharing your experience, make sure you’re focused on your communication:

  • be clear and succinct when talking
  • communicate in a professional manner.
  • If you’re successful at this stage, you’ll  be invited to the next stage of the recruitment process*
