Consulting

We’re the UK’s Graduate Employer of Choice for Consulting according to The Times

Deliver practical, insightful advice that gets straight to the heart of big business issues.

You’ll get to work closely with the best in industry, finance and government in the UK and abroad, bringing fresh insights and motivation to the problems they face. Our clients might want us to help them enter new markets; address the challenges created by organisational change; or draw up a sustainability strategy that aligns their commercial objectives with broader environmental and social concerns.

What is Consulting?

Whichever part of Consulting you join, you’ll help organisations of all shapes and sizes from strategy right through to execution.

And whatever issues you’re tackling on their behalf, you’ll work with inspiring leaders to deliver results they can measure and a standard of client service that’s truly second to none.

Skills we look for

Flexibility, an open mind and a strong team ethic are vital too:

Flexibility - to handle changing priorities and workloads positively Building relationships - so you can work well with colleagues and clients

Courage and integrity - so you’re always up for a challenge and to do the right thing by clients and colleagues

Commercial awareness - so you can quickly grasp our clients’ issues and opportunities and be passionate about helping them succeed

Great communication skills - to listen, persuade and put your point across.

There are many ways you might have developed these skills – through study, voluntary work, sport, being part of a club or a job. Think about what you’ve done and what you've learned from it. The more examples you have, the more you’ll stand out.

What you'll need

There’s more to our people than intellect alone so you’ll need to show us you have the following skills all the way through the assessment process. To thrive in our practice, you'll need to welcome change. And you’ll not only be analytical and numerate, you’ll also be articulate and confident when it comes to saying what you think. Our Consultants are into business. Any kind of business. They’re creative, probing, questioning and they look at things differently. If you’re someone who’s flexible, enjoys change, is brilliant with people and is calm under pressure, we could be a match.
