Join us in Belfast, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Birmingham for a week-long training programme designed to provide you with the knowledge and experience required to prepare you for work in the Digital World.

At PwC, we connect business, technological and emotional intelligence to solve our clients’ important problems, that make a real difference. Technology is changing the way we work, and we’re at the forefront – exploring new technologies and trends as they emerge. From Artificial Intelligence to Augmented Reality and 3D Printing to Drones, we’re using these technologies to help our clients work better and prepare for the future. Our clients need our help to understand how data can drive greater insight, improve their business performance, and make them more competitive.

You’ll spend time getting excellent tuition from technology experts from a range of business areas across PwC, as well as gaining key employability and professional skills for your career going forwards. This action-packed week is a great way to network, learn and kickstart your career!

What you'll gain
Choose to join us in Belfast, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Birmingham. Our Digital Insight Week is a week-long, paid internship that will help you to:
  • Understand more about the Digital World
  • Learn theoretical and technical techniques used
  • Work on real challenges and case studies and simulations
  • Gain a deep insight into the work we do, and problems we can help our clients solve
  • Understand more about your opportunities in the digital world

  • You’ll also develop much more than just your technical and data skills. Our case studies and interactive exercises will provide you the opportunity to build relationships and use your initiative to solve problems
    What you'll do
    On this programme, we’ll welcome you with a quick introduction to PwC and our Technology practice, set you up on your laptop and give you an opportunity to meet other people doing the placement with you, helping you to make friends from the start. From then onwards, you’ll dive straight into the exciting Digital world. Each day will be different, you’ll learn from some of our experts in this field who’ll give you an insight into how the skills you’re developing are being implemented to help our clients use technology to gain a competitive edge.
    What you'll need
    No matter what background you're from or what subjects you're studying, we'd love you to join us. This is your chance to take the first step towards an incredible career in Technology.
  • Currently in Year 12 / Year 13 in NI / S5 in Scotland and studying for A-Levels / Highers / BTEC or equivalent.
  • Interested in taking your first steps towards a career in business.
  • Available for a week during your summer holidays in 2019
  • The dates of the Digital Insight Week are:
  • Leeds, Birmingham and Edinburgh: 29 July - 2 August
  • Belfast: 22 July - 26 July
  • Glasgow: 5 August - 9 August
  • You’ll need to be on course for a 96 UCAS tariff (excluding General Studies)
  • You’ll need to have achieved a Grade 4 in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • Committed to your career ambitions and able to explain to us why you want to complete this programme.

  • Please note we don't provide accommodation or travel expenses to and from the base office
    Recruitment process deadlines

    • Applications to be made by 31 January 2019
    • Career Valuation & Career Unlocked online assessment to be completed by 4 February 2019
    • Coaching Days to take place between 26 February - 8 March 2019 at PwC offices
    • Video Interviews to be completed between 11 February - 24 February 2019
    Our commitment to social mobility

  • your parents have not attended University,
  • you have been in receipt of Free School Meals at any point during your school career,
  • you attend a school with a higher than average proportion of students in receipt of Free School Meals (this will be determined based on the school postcode you provide).

  • If you're eligible for this additional support we'll contact you to invite you to a coaching day near you and offer you ongoing support from application through to assessments.

    If you're not eligible, then don't worry, you can still access support online and through your local recruitment team and we'll communicate with you throughout the process to ensure you can access the tools to help you with your application.
