New technologies are emerging all the time, transforming how we do business and the way we audit our clients.
You’ll develop a strong understanding of the role that digital plays in the modern day audit and how new technologies are deployed and controlled within business. We have three graduate pathways into Digital Audit, one which includes studying for the Chartered Accountant professional qualification (PQ) and has a dual financial and digital audit focus and our non-professional qualification pathway (non-PQ) which focuses on the technology and data aspects of the audit. Our third pathway is into Advanced Analytics which focuses on the use of technology and data analytics on the audit.
Digital Audit professional qualification pathway
This pathway will give you a unique opportunity to experience a blend of all aspects of the Audit from finance to technology. As a Digital Audit (PQ) graduate, you’ll provide the link between Finance and IT. You'll learn to understand and test IT systems and controls, deliver technology enabled audits and utilise the latest innovative tools in advanced analytics, process control and automation.
Digital Audit non-professional qualification pathway
This pathway will allow you to specialise in the technology aspect of the Audit. You’ll develop deep technology and data skills through a structured training programme, through which you’ll develop the deeper technical and data skills required as a technology auditor You’ll be checking IT systems to ensure they’re appropriately controlled by management and checking that the data produced is accurate, highlighting and questioning any differences. It's investigative work where you’ll regularly speak with clients, in-person or collaboratively through technology to engage in your work.
Digital Audit Advanced Analytics
In Digital Audit Advanced Analytics you’ll develop a valuable skill set across business and data engineering, where you’ll build a foundational understanding of core concepts, such as accounting, financial reporting, risk, object-oriented programming, database management and application development. As a trusted specialist, you’ll advise senior stakeholders on ways to automate and reimagine audits, implementing innovative technologies, such as Python, Alteryx, Process Intelligence and Machine Learning.
On our graduate pathways, you’ll understand and test IT systems and controls, making use of innovative tools, including cutting edge advanced analytics, process control and automation to deliver technology enabled audits.

We’ve challenged the assumption that all members of the audit team need to be based in the same place and in close proximity to our clients. Therefore depending on the team you join, you may find yourself travelling to client site or in some of our specialist teams, you may find that you connect virtually with your clients.
You’ll work with prestigious clients and develop the business and technical skills, knowledge and relationships needed to do well in a career that goes beyond the obvious. You’ll develop real insights into a client’s markets, people and management, as well as its finances and technology.
If you choose to join our professional qualification Digital Audit pathway, you’ll study towards the Chartered Accountant (ACA or CA) qualification.
You’ll start your professional qualification almost immediately upon joining and within the first few months you’ll take your first set of exams. Studying can be tough but we'll be right behind you with full financial support and access to first-class tuition. The approach is designed to offer flexibility in terms of what, when and how you study, allowing you to go at your own pace.
For most of our Digital Audit programmes, you'll need to have or be on course to pass an undergraduate degree in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
In Digital Audit we work with cutting-edge technology to deliver high quality audits. You don’t need to be a technology expert to join though, we’ll provide all the training you’ll need through a combination of structured training pathways and Digital Academies.

Launched in 2020, Digital Quests is our bespoke platform for our Audit teams to learn, apply and gain recognition for their digital knowledge and skills. Digital Quests are online challenges, featuring interactive, industry-based scenarios, giving you the chance to put your digital knowledge to the test in a safe, risk-free environment. It’s part of our larger focus on digitally upskilling our teams and helping them feel better equipped and more confident in exploring digital solutions with clients or internal stakeholders.
